Spotlight on: Strength & Balance Classes
Exercising as you get older is really imporant. Not only does it make you feel better, sleep better, react better, and remember better, it also improves the following:
- cardiovascular health
- immune system
- brain function
- muscle mass
At LDVG we endeavour to help those in our community maintain a lifestyle they enjoy, and through our exercise classes, stay active, healthy and social! Our classes help people maintain their independence whilst making new connections and building support circles. One of our members had this to say:
"I attend multiple groups, including the exercise group on a Fridy. I would say this group has made the biggest impact on me. I attended the exercise group alone initially, but this is where I have created such a great bond with a few other members. There is a group of three ladies who all came together every week and one day they basically took me under their wing and I was instantly part of the group. We go for lunch every Friday after the class, usually to the local garden centre but sometime stray futher afield."
Our hour long classes run on Thursdays (9.30am) and Fridays (13.30am) so why not join today?
