Meet the Board
Anne Alston
Anne has chaired LDVG since 2017, guiding the charity’s growth and development. A former civil servant with over 30 years’ experience, she first joined as a volunteer with the Call Line and Lunch Clubs and remains an active community supporter.
Grant Riley
Grant joined the Board in 2021 and became Finance Trustee in 2022. He works in Strategic Communication at North Lanarkshire Council and brings valuable skills in communication, finance and community engagement.
Jim McCann
Jim joined the Board in 2017 after several years as a volunteer driver. With over 40 years’ experience in the motor trade, he continues to support LDVG’s transport services and local volunteering.
Ronnie Nisbet
Ronnie has been self-employed for more than 40 years and joined the Board in 2018. A long-time volunteer driver, he brings business experience and a strong commitment to community service.
Stuart McDowell
Stuart joined the Board in 2020 and has over 30 years’ experience in financial services. Born in Quarter, he is also President of the Lanarkshire Leagues Bowling Association and supports LDVG’s continued growth.
Fredin Varghese
Fredin holds an MBA in Business Management and a BA (Hons) in International Business and Finance. He joined LDVG to share his financial expertise and commitment to community development.
Elizabeth Amos
Elizabeth joined the Board in 2024 and has over ten years’ experience in the financial sector. She brings expertise in finance, compliance and leadership to support LDVG’s strategic goals.

Elected to the Board in August 2025.
Adam Brownlie
Elected to the Board in August 2025.
