Our new premises were officially opened on 4th March 2016 by Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire John Brown. The ocassion was attended by Angela Crawley MP, Christina McKelvie MSP, Margaret McCulloch MSP and Councillor Peter Craig, as well as representatives from the architects, project managers, and the Big Lottery Fund.
Many local organisations with links to the Volunteer Group were also represented, including local churches, the Community Council, Larkhall Growers, Universal Connections, Inner Wheel, Rotary, Community Learning and Larkhall Professional and Businessmen's Club.
It was also announced that the building would be called Registry House to keep a link to its former use as the Larkhall Registry Office, which many local people remember it as, and that the main function room would be called the Peter Corr room to mark the Group's former chairman whose drive and dedication did so much to facilitate the move to Victoria Street,
