Larkhall & District Volunteer Group have received a generous donation of £35,316 from Asda Larkhall through the Asda Foundation to help cover the costs of a much-needed mini bus.

asda bus usersSandra McCrory, Funding & Marketing Co-ordinator at Larkhall & District Volunteer Group said: “We are so grateful to Asda Larkhall for this amazing donation. The new minibus will allow us to continue to welcome the community in for our weekly activities, especially many of the elderly who really look forward to getting out of the house.”

The application to the Asda Foundation was supported by store colleagues at the Asda store in Larkhall. Kimberly Keys, Asda Larkhall’s community champion, said: “We see the Foundation as one of the many ways to give something back to the communities that support us. That’s why we lend a hand to the wide range of good causes with which our colleagues are involved, sharing their passion and helping to make a difference through a variety of projects locally and across the UK. Supporting smaller, local applications such as Larkhall & District Volunteer Group is really important to us – and we hope it will make a real difference within the local community in Larkhall.”
